[Letter] 1858 Dec. 10, Staunton [Va.] to [John Albert Broadus] / Geo. B. Taylor. 1858.

Having learned that Broadus's uncle William F. Broaddus was visiting him, and would be available to preach to Broadus's church at Charlottesville, Taylor wrote requesting John to supply preach for him. "As I have to preach three times on Sabbath and am suffering somewhat with my throat, I write to beg you to 'come over and help me' on that day. Please say to Elder Wm. F. Broaddus that I hope he will come here from Charlottesville. I will pledge him several subscriptions for the Theological School. Let me hear from you both if you can't come."
